Father, Son Outing and Revenge of The Cookie Monster

So it was the father and son outing last weekend at Gardner Canyon. Becca made Bjorn his own tent. This was the tents trial run.

The first thing we did when we got to the camp site was to set up a tree swing.

The tent worked great. The night before we watched a John Wayne movie and Bjorn ran all over the place playing with his friends. We finally got to bed around 11:00.

The next morning after breakfast and some balloon tossing we went to the cave. The entrance drops steeply right behind us.

It took some work but we all made it in to the cave through some tight squeezes.

I think the kids had a good time. The day before I velcroed a headlamp onto Bjorn's bicycle helmet. He wore the helmet all night.

Hmmm, left or right. Bjorn putting his headlamp to work.

Here we are back at the entrance (great rock work). We were in the cave for about an hour and twenty minutes.

He was so tired he didn't even notice the cookie monster give him a kiss. This is Bjorn two minutes after putting him in his seat. It's hard to explain how much fun I had watching Bjorn, great kid.
